Microtel Inn - Absolutely horrific

HORRIBLE!!!!!
We have had nothing but problems with this hotel! We checked in wed the 12th running from the hurricane(we live on the coast of NC, stationed at camp Lejeune) and at 2am by my daughters pull out bed the ac caught fire and wouldnโt turn off. We were then give another room and had to move our 3 year old ,animals as well as all of our belongings at 2 in the morning(Iโm 30 weeks pregnant). The next day my husband and I left to take our daughter to the aquarium, tragedy strikes and my husband passed out from heart problems resulting in us having to go to the er via ambulance, while in the ambulance we get a call to get our dogs there too noisy. Even after explaining the situation they didnโt care and said get there now. As I did. The only reason the dogs were heard was from the hotel having to move us to a new room. So what happens next, they fix the ac with a new controll panel and tell me to move rooms AGAIN! This time all by my self while my husband is at the er. So me(30 weeks pregnant) my 3 year old and two dogs. My mother in law was infuriated and called being she made the initial reservation through her travel company. And the lady at the front desk said we trashed the previous room and left dog food all over. NOT TRUE, I even spoke to the lady upon returning my key saying I cleaned the room and turned everything off. So after getting thay phone call I went down to the office and all she could say was sheโs sorry thatโs what she told. The โmanagerโ finally said he would refund us for a day for all of our troubles(that was last week). Well tragedy strikes again and we are unable to get back into NC due to the flooding and had to extend my reservation twice more. I finally left at 5am this morning. I got to check my credit card and I was charged and additional 79 dollars today! He had no excuse besides it was a system error and reassured me that my money will be back on my card along with the two days I ended up not staying. Low and behold I get off the phone and check my credit card and I was charged another 79 dollars!!!!! Yep charged twice this morning. All he kept saying was it must be a system error that his side is showing my refund. What a crock of *** I then said he needs to contact pos if heโs claiming itโs a system error, he then proceeds to say no you call and tries to give me the number to call on his behalf. Itโs absolutely disgusting I left from tragedy to have a semi decent week and it was nothing but trouble! I have never met such a unprofessional manger a day in my life as well as a con artist! He knows his hotel is disgusting (have pictures to back that up)but is apparently not looking to take any blame or fix anything. I can assure you if I donโt get all the money back I promised I will contact claims and I will take this man to court to get whatโs rightfully ours and have him charged for unlothfully charging my credit card! If I could I would give this place 0 star!!!! Do not stay here
