Terrible First Experience
Good Morning,
I Called your Kirkland Lake location yesterday afternoon and requested to have our reservation changed from tomorrow to tonight.
I was told they were busy and didnt have the same room available but they could book our 2 rooms to a bigger room and charge us 190$ vs. the 173$ we booked for our 2 night stay.
I then suggested that we book the first night in the bigger room at 190$ and the second night they could change to the 173$ room so that it wasn't much of an expense difference.
I was told NO by the front desk because this would make 2 rooms dirty...
I am not sure what your policy is but I assume that the cleaning ''Fee'' is included in the 190$ that I pay. After getting a No I then suggested if i changed my reservation and went online and booked the 193$ room and then the 173$ room there wouldn't be a problem....
I was then told yes but that we would have to pay an additional 10$ per room.
The lady on the phone kept talking to her colleague and getting the answer from her.
I was then notified that I would have to pay the 10$ because they would need to move their belongings...
I advised that there would be no belongings to move and that they would just need to transfer room and FINALLY they agreed and took the information needed for both room.
Unfortunately it didn't get better from here.
We showed up for our 2 booked rooms and were told only 1 was booked... After over 30 minutes on the phone they did not correctly book my reservations and one of us were stranded and had to find other accomodations elsewhere.
I experiences TERRIBLE customer services from this location.
Considering this is a NEW brand I honestly expected better.
We book several hotel rooms throughout Canada and I have to say this experience does not have us choosing your hotel chain in the future.
I hope that some explanation can be given on your part.
