Terrible First Experience

Good Morning,

I Called your Kirkland Lake location yesterday afternoon and requested to have our reservation changed from tomorrow to tonight.

I was told they were busy and didnt have the same room available but they could book our 2 rooms to a bigger room and charge us 190$ vs. the 173$ we booked for our 2 night stay.

I then suggested that we book the first night in the bigger room at 190$ and the second night they could change to the 173$ room so that it wasn't much of an expense difference.

I was told NO by the front desk because this would make 2 rooms dirty...

I am not sure what your policy is but I assume that the cleaning ''Fee'' is included in the 190$ that I pay. After getting a No I then suggested if i changed my reservation and went online and booked the 193$ room and then the 173$ room there wouldn't be a problem....

I was then told yes but that we would have to pay an additional 10$ per room.

The lady on the phone kept talking to her colleague and getting the answer from her.

I was then notified that I would have to pay the 10$ because they would need to move their belongings...

I advised that there would be no belongings to move and that they would just need to transfer room and FINALLY they agreed and took the information needed for both room.

Unfortunately it didn't get better from here.

We showed up for our 2 booked rooms and were told only 1 was booked... After over 30 minutes on the phone they did not correctly book my reservations and one of us were stranded and had to find other accomodations elsewhere.

I experiences TERRIBLE customer services from this location.

Considering this is a NEW brand I honestly expected better.

We book several hotel rooms throughout Canada and I have to say this experience does not have us choosing your hotel chain in the future.

I hope that some explanation can be given on your part.

To redeem reward points

The Wyndham Rewards customer service rep said the location was independently owned and the GM would not allow customers to redeem points to stay there. So why offer points for stays and not be allowed to redeem them where i want? The issue was never resolved and i am being forced yo stay at a different location in order to take advantage of the points i spent money to earn. If independently owned locations represent your company's name they should be REQUIRED to allow cuatomers to redeem their points at their locations. This is NOT goid custoner service. Especially when it took you a week to even address the issue

Water dripped from ceiling into our bathroom for three days.

Four interconnected issues: Water from a second floor room leaked down into our first floor bathroom. Source of water (from toilet, shower or sink) was never revealed. Slow leak, but it required holding a towel over my head when using our toilet. We had to mop the floor each day when returning from day trips. Leak required three requests to the duty manager, one per day for three days, to get the leak fixed. No feedback from duty manager on if/when repairs were completed (if the floor needed mopping, we mopped and called the duty manager again). Given the room's condition we requested a monetary adjustment. We were told the unit manager was unavailable, unreachable and "in Canada". A few hours later we were offered a $30 discount on an $800+ invoice. This is unacceptable.

Disturbances at 0130

Trying to sleep at 0130 am and there are people socializing extremely loudly with the front desk attendant. Absolutely unprofessional and disrespectful. I have stayed in dozens of hotels, this is a first. Definately a last here. The lady who checked us in was very nice. New gal around 11 or 12 i think. Been loud and obnoxious ever since.

They stole money in may and tried again oct.25th 5 times they are being monitored tell people to stay clear of them don't give any credit cards to them pay in cash it will save you from all charges when you are not there they keep all information on any credit cards used just to steal more money from you

Your front desk clerk was cussing alot when we checkedout.the. only thing to eat for breakfast was ceral, all 3 trays was empty. They was a sock in the bed hair all in sink. No tissues,mold on ceiling

Disgusting hotel, Dirty. Looked OK from the parking lot and lobby. the room was dirty, found a sock on the floor, looked like mold on the bathroom walls, smelled bad, paint was all dirty and badly chipped. The sheet on the bed looked like it was replaced but it was badly stained or a stain was showing through from underneath the sheet. Did not feel comfortable walking around without shoes on. Air Conditioner was filthy in the vents and was afraid to turn it on because of what might blow out. Would never stay or recommend this location. Should have left but it was late, and I was tired of driving. Was terrible for even a budget hotel.

I booked a stay at the Microtel in Ocean City MD for Aug 18th through the 20th. A week before i was to go away my handicapped brother took ill and ened up in Shock Trauma. He is in critical condition and will be there for some time if he survives. I emailed the hotel through booking.com which is who i booked the room through. I never got an answer from them. So i called and spoke with a general manager about my situation and he told me there was nothing he could do and i had to call booking.com. so i then called them and tried to get a refund of my money for the trip and they told me that the hotel has to approve it. Do i wenr back and forth for 4 days and spoke to 4 different people, each time explaining my situation. Finally the supervisor at booking.com called for me and Scott the GM told them never to call there again. This man has no compassion for anyone. I was even willing to get a signed form from the hospital to prove what i said. Please boycott this horrible, inconsiderate and heartless place. I would never even consider staying at a Microtel ever again. I hope one day karma comes back and bites you you know where.

Complaint

The general manager of Microtel Inn and Suites on Plymouth Rd. Her name is Joy. Everytime we call to see if we can reserve a room and once we needed a room asap and had cash for a room, she made us feel that she dont care where we sleep as long as it's not at her hotel. So she didn't even care if we had to sleep in our car. We even apologize for whatever we did and she still said no. How can you allow someone to do that to a paying customer.

Never stay again

the staff looked mad at the world. I was in room 207 Saturday November 16.the bathtub was dirty. Was no cups. Or soap in the room. This has been my worst stay hear.
